At the end of a long and complex path of cultural heritage restoration, local community is left with with the renewed cultural good, sometimes without a clear idea of what and how to proceed with it. Of course, the main goal of reconstruction, which is prevention of further decay of cultural heritage, is most often achived.<\/p>\n<p>However, this way of working and reflecting on the restoration of cultural heritage is changing. Bolder steps forward and multidisciplinary approaches are anticipated.\u00a0For example a call for the preparation and implementation of integrated cultural heritage development programme was opened in the first half of 2016. \u00a0The call was to co-finance investments in cultural goods, but it would have to be linked to the development of additional, primarily tourist facilities and services with a goal to contribute to a sustainable development at the local and regional level.
